Incredible US journey: November 2008

Today.24 Nov 2008

This is my third working day and I just got back home like an hour ago and had my shower. My housemates cooking dinner for us tonight =) --> Spaghetti.
Things don't go smoothly all the time and nahh I was the cashier today with no single experience and no single practice! I was doing my work so slowly and so clumsily. Migosh...when the queue was long, I wanted to be fast but then migosh I just couldn't....I was unfamiliar with all their coins, unfamiliar with which things with which buttons to press gosh..it's just everything so new for me. Anyway, I have to learn don't I? One of my colleagues who used to be the cashier there actually asked me to call the supervisor to close my err like things I've sold so she could continue for the rest of the day. When the supervisor, Karen actually came down well of course she said I have to learn, time for me to learn..ya I think so too. Well, I kept making mistakes....a lot seriously. I kept making errors, I just don't know why...refilling, I pressed regular soda then stuffs like small I pressed regular... ARGH!!! I ended up having 9 voids!! YES NINE! That's quite a lot to me. And Gerry actually offered to ask Allissa to close my counter since the business is slow today. And ya I stopped my very-messed-up cashier work at three thirty. When Allissa was counting the money I was so afraid that the money shorts....cause at the beginning of the day I actually thought the 1 dime is 5 cents and yes I seriously gave more return to customers. Fortunately, it ended up that the amount of money was over by $1.96.
Continued with other jobs like the first two days and ended work early today at 517pm. Weee finally I get to watch the start of the shamu show, I always watch from the mid of the show... nahh I was so frustrated with all the mistakes I made and luckily I went to watch shamu before coming back home. Well that put a smile on my face =)...
Had my lunch earlier today and this time without seeing them two..duhh I couldn't finish my food this time, half was thrown away though it was just tuna tortilla...maybe cause I was eating alone I guess..
Finish watching shamu show, I started walking to the exit and well I kept walking walking walking walking walking like never ending my way back to the exit...and and I lost my way to the exit! Ya I have no sense of direction and I lost my way. For my past two days I walked with both of them and this time my way out was like never ending without their voices, noises, sighs, laughters and all.......nah I missed both of them...
While I was having all these, they were having fun in Universal Studio!
Alright I shall go prepare to take my dinner err it's 836pm now ya every night super late dinner here haha yesterday even worse around near 11pm out dinner. Haha anyway yesterday we all cooked together cooked rice, soup, prawns and eggs. We ate like a family...super nice and super fun!!!! (Though we had to squeeze two person on a chair? Haha but that was very nice!) We took lots of super crazy pics yesterday while cooking so I shall put some up here later after my dinner?

The working day

Nahh we all started working with Lee Ming started off first yesterday. He is working in the restaurant which is a very nice place known as Hospitality Deli. He looked very exhausted on the first day when he was back and that scared us...he even slept without taking his bath till the next morning which is today. He went work the earliest again this morning while Shane and I joined others to have the breakfast prepared by the people in the Clubhouse. The breakfast was very great with tthe waffle and those delectable tarts and juices. Gosh we took the waffle with fresh strawberried and blueberries which you can't find it back in Malaysia. We even added butter, chocolate chips, whip cream and maple syrup to our crispy outside and soft inside waffle. We then went to play Nintendo Wii in the Clubhouse, the Rockband weeeee I super love this game haha =p can play guitar and drum. Haven't got a chance to bring Lee Ming to try the game. Never mind, there will sure be a chance =D.

Shane and I have the same schedule for these two days and we went to work together around 1115am. Duh we have to walk very far everyday to take the public bus called Trolley and took it to SeaWorld! We reached there like 1145 I guess, SeaWorld, so unfamiliar, we were looking around to the place we were supposed to check in, the Shamu Stadium. Well, I clocked in with the in park phone at 1204am and a girl led both of us to our work. Shane worked as making popcorns and selling stuffs like candies and stuffs during shamu show. He has commision for the things he sold!!! He has $1.25 today! I was in this place known as Coconut Cove, selling sodas, chips, ice-creams and cotton candies ONLY. Ya only. Since it's winter now not that much people buying from my stall. Nevertheless, there were lots of people buying sodas too. Oh ya, we sell very nice shamu water bottles too! Haha I think I'm going to get one when I'm going back. Nah did nothing much at the stall except learning to take and prepare sodas and err some cleaning and closing stall stuffs. Will bored you people if I mention everything here. Anyway, I would want to say some people I met during work, there are quiet ones, very fierce and scary ones too, quite nice ones, cheerful ones, moderate ones and all kinds of people. Ya, this is reality, you just have to bare and tolerate with everything. And there are lots of types of customers too haha I have to say. All the things mentioned in the training did occur to me. Though it's quite boring at work I have to say when there is no customer, I'm happy when I see all the people around have smiles and laughters together with families and friends. This is a thing that make me smile =) And oh ya another thing putting a smile on my face is also the Christmas songs and musics played. =D I worked from 12noon to 545pm (supposed to be 630pm but no more work) and I went to watch the Christmas Magical Shamu Show again after clocking out =D That made me lived in a miracle for few minutes again with the great show...nahh how many people get the chance to watch a great Christmas Shamu Show after work everyday?! That seriously put a smile on my face =) After show, I waited for Shane to clean the floor and clock out and we went all the way to look for Lee Ming in the Deli. As I said the restaurant he's working in has very nice environment, though he's very busy and work is tiring for him. We waited for him inside there and we took long walk and Trolley back to our very-expensive apartment.
The day hasn't end without our dinner. Came back home, I decided to try cooking rice without rice cooker again. And this time I succeeded!!! =D I cooked rice for them and fried a plate of vegetable containing cabbage, carrot and hams. We fried eggs too. Took dinner with everyone in fatigue condition. Nahh that didn't end yet. Had to wash all the plates and cutleries used, not with dishwasher but with hands as my housemates didn't want us to use the dishwasher.
Now, I seriously understand it is not an easy thing to be a housewife who works at the same time. IT IS SERIOUSLY NOT EASY! I worked, I cooked, I washed.
Anyway, thinking of the shamus and dolphins does put a smile on my face washing away all my fatigue.

Well, LLM seems very tired everyday. His work is the most tiring among us I guess.
--> Don't give up =) We must learn, experience, practise and TRY TO enjoy our work.
We must work hard and DisneyWorld still waiting for us k =D

I saw two super cute Huskies owned by a lady who walked his dogs this morning, wanted to call LLM but then I thoguht he went to work. Haha ok and ya I played pool and wii in Clubhouse super fun!!!! =D

I guess I shall sleep now. Living a healthy lifestyle here (I try to =p).

That will be my lunches during my work days for three months with some other variety.

I took steak and mashed potato today, I managed to finish all today =D
